Black-and-white dog with red bandana found near Stearns Wharf
I found a black-and-white dog this afternoon around 2:15pm wandering along the Stearns Wharf boardwalk by the Santa Barbara Harbor. It's a medium-sized mix, about 40 pounds, with a bright red bandana and a blue collar, and a small white heart-shaped patch on its chest. One ear tilts a bit when it listens, and the pup seemed friendly but a little anxious, so I stuck with it, offered water, and kept an eye out for a tag, but nothing readable showed up. I’d love to help reunite them with their family—the dog looked like they’re missing someone and I could tell it mattered. I lost my calico cat Luna yesterday around 3pm after I pulled into the Stearns Wharf parking lot off Harbor Way in Santa Barbara. She's a medium-sized cat, mostly white with orange and black patches, and she wears a bright orange collar with a tiny silver bell. She has a white toe on her right front paw and a small scar above her left ear. Luna is shy with strangers but incredibly affectionate once she warms up, and she means a lot to me, she has been a quiet companion through some tough times. If anyone sees her near State Street, the Santa Barbara Mission area, or around the Santa Barbara Zoo, please contact me. I am really worried and would be grateful to be reunited.

I found this bright green cockatiel with a yellow crest this afternoon around 2:30pm near the Santa Barbara Public Library on Anacapa Street. It has distinctive orange patches on the cheeks and blue-tinted tail feathers. It seems healthy and fairly social, letting me approach and perch on a finger for a moment. There's no sign of a cage nearby, and it looks well cared for. I found a vibrant green and yellow parakeet perched on a rock while I was walking along the beach in Santa Barbara this morning. The little guy seems friendly and was chirping softly. I've tried to capture him, but he quickly flew away a few feet and landed again, so he might still be around in the area. He doesn’t have any identification, but he's obviously someone's pet.
