I found a small tan beagle mix this afternoon around 4:15pm in the parking lot behind the Kent Public Library on Main Street. He's about 25 pounds, with a white chest and a blue nylon collar that has a tiny heart-shaped tag but no name is visible. He seemed well cared for, very friendly, and eager to meet people, so I sat with him for a while to check for a microchip but didn't find one. He also has a distinctive white patch on his left hind leg, which might help the owner recognize him.
