Crested gecko — lime green with orange specks
Yesterday around 3pm I realized my crested gecko was missing from its terrarium after I got home from work. It’s a small gecko, about 5 inches long, lime green with orange speckles and a dark eye stripe; the tail has a tiny kink and there’s a white dot on its left hind toe. I last saw it near the Grassmarket, outside a cafe on Victoria Street, but it could have slipped toward Greyfriars Bobby area if a passerby startled it. This little guy is a gift to my daughter and means a lot to us—we’d be heartbroken if we don’t get him back. If you’ve seen it, drop me a note at the email below.
Bearded dragon, sandy orange, blue eyes, lost
I lost my bearded dragon, Mango, yesterday around 6pm. He's about 10 inches from snout to tail, sandy orange with irregular brown bands along his back. He's kept in a small Exo Terra terrarium with a Zoo Med UVB lamp and a heat mat. Last seen around the Grassmarket area in Edinburgh, near the corner shop on West Port, slipping under a parked car and disappearing. He has a faint diagonal scar on his left hip from a shed, and a small white dot near his eyebrow scale that helps me identify him. I'm really worried—he's friendly but shy, and I'd love to have him back home.
Bearded dragon in terrarium with heat lamp
I found a bearded dragon this afternoon around 2:15pm, inside a small glass terrarium with a heat lamp, sitting on a bench near the Scott Monument on Princes Street in Edinburgh. It’s about 8 inches long from snout to tail, sandy brown with darker crossbands and a bright orange beard that shows when it’s curious. The terrarium lid has a blue sticker reading 'Milo' and there’s a tiny notch on the left tail scale. It seemed well-fed and calm, so I’m hoping to reunite it with its owner soon—pets like this mean a lot to people. If this is yours, send me a message here and we can work out a safe handover.
