I found a small vintage coin collection this afternoon around 2:15pm in the parking lot behind the Copper Harbor Lighthouse gift shop on M-26, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's housed in a red velvet-lined display case with a brass latch and includes coins from the early 1900s, plus a tiny photo of a woman in period dress tucked between the pages. I wasn’t sure who it belonged to—locals or a traveler—but it looked valuable to a serious collector. I lost my antique gold pocket watch yesterday around 3pm near the Soo Locks viewing area along the riverfront in Sault Ste. Marie, Upper Peninsula. It's a 1920s Hamilton pocket watch with a gold-filled case, about 1.75 inches across, and a black dial with Roman numerals. The back is engraved with the initials 'J.L.K.' and there’s a tiny crack along the glass at the 4 o'clock position. It came on a worn brown leather fob chain and holds serious sentimental value—it's been in my family for generations. If anyone picked it up, please reach out; I’d be so grateful to have it back.
