Found kittens in Southeast Alaska
I found two tiny kittens behind the Alaska State Museum near the Juneau-Douglas Ferry Terminal at 7:30 PM on July 18. One is orange tabby with a white chest, the other grey with a black tail; both wore faint blue collars that had long since faded. They soothed when I stroked them, and I warmed them with a sweater until they purred. I hope the owners recognize them, and I’ll keep them safe until they’re reunited.
Gray dwarf hamster with blue harness lost near Mendenhall
I lost my gray dwarf hamster named Clover yesterday around 3pm near the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center parking lot in Juneau. It's about 2 inches long with soft light-gray fur and a white belly, and one ear is slightly bent. It wears a bright blue harness with a tiny silver bell and sometimes has a faint white star on the back. Clover is shy but curious, and this little guy is sentimental for my family—it's my daughter's first pet and was a gift from her grandmother. If anyone finds him, please text me; I can swing a small reward. Really hoping to bring him home soon.
Leopard gecko, small with brown spots
Found a small leopard gecko this afternoon around 3:45 pm outside the Alaska State Library near Totem Square in Sitka, Southeast Alaska. It’s about 2 inches long, yellow-tan with brown irregular spots and a plump tail. It has copper-colored eyes and a tiny notch on the tail tip—easy to spot. I’m not sure how it ended up here, but it looks healthy and well-fed. If this belongs to someone, I’d love to help get it back; I can meet downtown or at the waterfront and can scan for a microchip if needed.
Blue budgie with leg band, missing near Centennial Hall
I lost my blue budgie Pico yesterday around 3pm near Centennial Hall on Front Street in Juneau, Southeast Alaska. It's a small, bright blue bird with teal on the wings and a pale yellow face, about palm-sized, and it wears a silver leg band with 'PP' on the right leg. Pico is quite tame and loves to perch on my shoulder when I'm indoors, so the sudden disappearance has me worried and missing our daily chats. This bird has sentimental value—Pico was a gift from my grandmother, and I'd really appreciate getting him back.
Found a healthy green parrot with a small red leg band on a porch in Southeast Alaska.
I found a lovely green parrot sitting on my porch in Southeast Alaska yesterday. It seemed healthy and friendly, but I noticed it had a small red band on its leg. I can’t tell exactly how long it has been away from home. If anyone is looking for this little guy, please reach out!
