FOUND: Hat found in Roanoke, VA
I'm Emily Carter. At 7:45 PM on Monday, I found a gray felt hat on a bench near the Roanoke Star on Mill Mountain. A thin red ribbon around the base and a bit of trail dust gave it character, but otherwise it's intact. I tucked it into my tote and kept it safe, thinking someone was probably missing it after a sunset stroll. It feels familiar, like a traveler’s hat from a weekend hike along Market Street. I lost my gray Nike running shoes yesterday around 3pm near the Roanoke City Market Building, at Market Street and Jefferson. They're gray with a bright red Nike swoosh and white soles, size 9, a bit worn from daily runs. One shoelace is frayed near the tip, and the left heel tab has a small blue stitch that stands out.
