I lost my blue passport yesterday around 3:15pm outside the Capitol Building on Capitol Ave in Pierre. It’s in a slightly worn blue cover with a gold state crest on the front and a small coffee stain along the lower edge. The back cover has a faint sticker from a flight I took last year. Inside, the name page reads 'Priya Patel' and there’s a tiny sticky note with my emergency contact tucked in the travel info sleeve. This passport has sentimental value and I really need it back for my upcoming trip; I’d be grateful to hear from anyone who finds it.

I lost my blue US passport yesterday around 3pm while I was walking along Main Street near the Missouri Riverfront by the South Dakota State Capitol in Pierre. It's a standard navy-blue cover with the gold eagle crest; the back cover has a small coffee ring and the bottom-right corner is a bit frayed. Inside are the photo page and personal data page, and I was counting on it for an upcoming trip next week. This passport means a lot to me -- it's how I identify myself while traveling and it holds some of my oldest travel memories tucked in the pages. The badge shows my photo and name, and the edges are a bit worn with a slight top-right bend; there’s a faint coffee stain on the back and my initials PR scribbled in black marker on the card shell. I realized I lost my passport while I was visiting the Pierre public library on Main Street. I last remember having it when I sat down at one of the tables to study. I've retraced my steps but still can't find it, and it's really stressing me out since I have upcoming travel plans.
