Lost: Sheet music in Outer Banks
I was taking a walk along the Kitty Hawk boardwalk in the Outer Banks around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday when my sheet music slipped from my bag and drifted toward the dunes. It's a spiral-bound edition with a blue cover and pencil marks in the margins from practice runs. Losing it feels personal—like part of my rehearsal companion disappeared right there on the beach.
