I found a small green parakeet this afternoon around 3:30 pm near Clinch Park Marina on Front Street in downtown Traverse City. It’s about 6 inches tall, emerald-green body, yellow head, blue-tinted tail, and it wears a small blue leg band on the right leg with the code 'TC-07'. The bird seemed curious but a bit nervous, and it perched on the railing by the water before letting me approach. I lost my vibrant green parakeet named Charlie in the backyard near my home in Northern Michigan last Saturday. He often flies around the neighborhood but hasn’t come back for a couple of days. He is very sociable and loves to perch on people's shoulders. If anyone sees him, please let me know.

I found a bright green and yellow parakeet hopping around my bird feeder in the backyard. It seemed quite friendly and wasn't afraid of me at all. I live near Lake Cadillac, and I've checked around with my neighbors, but nobody seems to be missing this little guy.
