Leopard gecko with orange spots, about 4 inches
I lost my leopard gecko yesterday around 3pm in Jacksonville. It's a small, sleek gecko, gray with bright orange spots along the back and a pale belly. It's about 4 inches long from snout to tail and has a tiny turquoise dot on the base of its tail and a small nick on its left eyelid—unique features that help identify him. He was my daughter's pet and he has sentimental value; we adopted him last year after he hatched at a local reptile expo. I think he might have slipped out of his terrarium when I briefly opened the door near the St. Johns Town Center on Gate Parkway; if anyone finds him near Riverside Ave or the Riverwalk, please reach out here. I’m really hoping to get him back.
Found leopard gecko, orange tail, Jacksonville
Found a leopard gecko in the parking lot behind the Target on Atlantic Boulevard this afternoon around 3:20pm. It's about 5 inches long from head to tail, pale yellow-green with brown spots and a bright orange tail. The gecko has a small pale scar on the top of its head near the left eye and a faint white dot on the underside near the tail base. It's calm but a bit skittish and I kept it in a ventilated container with a shallow dish of water and some pinhead crickets, with a small heat pad on low. I know someone out there is missing a pet—reunifications like this really matter. If you recognize it, send me a message and we can arrange a safe handoff.
