I was walking home along Market Street by the Rio Grande in Del Rio around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday when I spotted a tote wedged behind a bench near the Market Square. Inside were holiday decorations—a string of multicolored lights, a tinsel garland, and a few handmade ornaments that smelled faintly of pine. It struck me how long someone might be missing these, especially during the holidays, so I grabbed the tote and brought it here, hoping to reunite it with its owner.
