I found a tote of holiday decorations by a bench near the Monroe County Public Library in Bloomington on Friday around 6:15 PM while I was walking home from class along Kirkwood Avenue. A jumble of string lights, shiny ornaments, and a red bow looked like someone’s carefully packed stash. I figured they must belong to someone who is excited to decorate for the holidays, so I kept them safe on my apartment porch and posted here. If these are yours, I hope they bring your home a little extra cheer.
I lost my Seiko 5 automatic blue-dial watch yesterday around 3pm outside the Starbucks on Kirkwood Ave in Bloomington. It's a stainless steel 37mm case with a blue sunburst dial, a white day/date window at 3, and a small scratch on the bezel near the 2 o'clock mark. On the back there are initials 'JP' engraved, and I've been wearing a blue NATO strap recently. This watch has huge sentimental value—it's a gift from my grandfather, and I really need it back.
I lost my brown Coach wallet yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Kirkwood Ave. It's a compact bi-fold with the Coach logo inside, holding my driver's license, two credit cards, and about $40 in cash. The back has a small coffee stain and a tiny blue thread from a repair. There's also a faded photo of my grandmother tucked in the card sleeve—she gave me this wallet, so it means a lot to me. If anyone found it, please let me know—it's really important for me to get it back.
I found a pair of black rectangular glasses this morning around 10:15am behind the Bloomington Public Library on Kirkwood Ave. They’re plastic frames, matte black, with slim gold-tone hinges. Inside the left temple is an engraving: AL. The lenses have a couple of tiny scratches near the top edge and a bit of smudging on the right lens from daily wear. It seems like a mid-range pair—comfortably sturdy, not flimsy. If these belong to you, I’d be glad to help get them back; just confirm the initials and the general style.
I lost my bearded dragon, Ember, yesterday around 3pm. She's about 12 inches from snout to tail, orange-tan with darker brown banding along the back and tiny white speckles on her belly. She was last seen in my Bloomington apartment near the Sample Gates on East 10th Street after a door slipped open while I was bringing in groceries. If someone spots her, please call me; she's more than a pet to me—she's my daily comfort, and it would mean everything to have her back. She has a small scar on the top of her head from a past shed and a slight bend in one of her claws, which makes her a bit distinctive.
I found a pair of black Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones this afternoon around 3:15pm in the Monroe County Public Library parking lot on Kirkwood Ave in Bloomington. They’re in pretty good shape and come with a gray hard-shell case that has a blue zipper and a bright blue sticker on the right ear cup. There’s a small dent on the left ear cup and a couple of tiny scratches along the headband, so you’d spot them if you see them again. I hope to return them to their owner soon—if you’re missing these, please drop me a line and we’ll arrange pickup near the library entrance.
