I found a Penguin Classics hardcover copy of The Stranger this afternoon around 2:15pm near the Pulteney Bridge in Bath. The cover is a navy blue cloth with gold embossing on the spine and a slightly worn feel from frequent reading. The pages are a touch yellowed, and a red ribbon bookmark sticks out from Chapter 12. Inside the front cover there’s a Bath Guild Library stamp and a pencil note that says 'For Jamie' in neat handwriting. If this sounds like your book, I’d love to help you get it back.
I lost a black Toyota car key with no key ring between Sydney Gardens and the centre of town on Friday 1st May around 4 to 11 pm
I found a small leopard gecko this morning around 9:15am near the steps by Pulteney Bridge in Bath. It’s about 4 inches long from snout to tail, with sandy-green skin and brown spots, and the tail tapers to a pale blue ring near the base. There’s a tiny scar on its left flank, and the skin looks healthy and smooth overall. It seemed calm when I picked it up and I offered a little water, and it stayed still in my cupped hands. If this is your pet, I’d really love to help get it back to you—please reach out with a description of your gecko.
I lost my Nintendo Switch OLED yesterday around 3pm near Pulteney Bridge in Bath, by the riverside path. It's in a black soft-shell case with a panda sticker on the back and neon red/blue Joy-Cons attached. There’s a small dent on the top edge and a tiny scratch on the screen. It came with a gray carry pouch and a USB-C charger tucked inside. It means a lot to me—it’s how I unwind on long train rides and it was a gift from my sister. If anyone found it, please get in touch. I’m really hoping to get it back.
I lost my hand-painted ceramic vase yesterday around 3pm. It's a smallish vase, about 8 inches tall, cream with a cobalt blue floral pattern running around the body. It’s a handmade piece from a Bath artist, with a tiny glaze flaw near the rim and a faint pencil signature 'JL' on the bottom. I think I had it outside Sally Lunn's on North Parade, right by the entrance to the bakery—I was grabbing a pastry when I realized it wasn't in my bag. It has sentimental value; it was a gift from my grandmother, and I really need it back. If found, please get in touch; I can offer a grateful hug and a small reward.
I found this this afternoon around 3:15 pm outside Bath Abbey on North Parade. It's a compact Arturia MiniLab MkII 25-key MIDI keyboard, black matte finish with a few light nicks on the corner. A blue USB cable is still plugged in, and there’s a small purple star sticker on the top edge with the initials EM. It looks like someone uses it for practice or small gigs, and it would be awesome to reunite the owner—these gear setups feel sentimental as well as practical. If it’s yours, message me and we’ll sort out getting it back to you.
