Hand-painted wall plaque with mountain motif
I found a hand-painted wall plaque with a mountain motif this afternoon around 3pm behind the Battery Park Book Exchange on Haywood Street, downtown Asheville. It's about 12 inches tall by 8 inches wide, with a distressed white wooden frame and a glossy ceramic tile in the center that swirls teal, emerald, and gold. I can see a small signature in the bottom-right corner that reads 'M. Larkin.' The back has a faint heart carved into the wood and a tiny sticker that says 'Studio North Asheville.' It looks well cared for, just dusty from being outside. If someone recognizes it, I’d love to reunite you with it.
Blue ceramic vase with sun motif found downtown
I found this handmade blue ceramic vase this afternoon around 2:15pm outside Battery Park Book Exchange on Page Ave in Asheville. It’s about 8 inches tall, with a cobalt glaze and a small sun motif painted on the side; there’s a tiny glaze nick near the rim and a faded artist sticker on the bottom. The vase is in good condition overall. If this belongs to you or you know who it belongs to, I’m happy to return it, and I can meet somewhere near downtown Asheville to hand it off.
