Framed original watercolor, river sunset
I lost my framed original watercolor yesterday around 3pm near the Cambridge Courthouse on Court Street. It's a small to medium piece, about 12x16 inches overall, with a gold-tone wooden frame that's a bit scuffed on the lower edge. The painting itself shows a river at sunset—pink, purple, and orange skies reflecting on calm waters, with a simple sailboat sketched in the distance. I signed it 'L. Reed' in the lower right corner, and there’s a tiny coffee ring on the back of the frame from a cup I set down during a quick stop at a cafe. It has sentimental value; it was a gift from my grandmother, and I really need to get it back.
Found vintage coin collection near Y-Bridge, Zanesville
I found a vintage coin collection this afternoon about 3:15pm near the Y-Bridge in Zanesville. It’s tucked inside a small mint-green leather album with a brass clasp, holding roughly 60 coins from 1909 through the 1980s. On the back cover there’s a faded sticker reading 'D.B. 72' and a pencil note inside lid that says 'Dad's collection.' A few coins show tarnish, but most are well-preserved, and the whole thing looks like a carefully kept set.
