Silver pocket watch with engraved initials
I lost my silver pocket watch yesterday around 3pm near the Shambles Market entrance on The Shambles, York. It’s a vintage Elgin pocket watch with a polished silver case, about 2 inches across, attached to a brown leather fob chain that’s a touch tarnished. The back is engraved with the initials 'J.R.' and there’s a small scratch across the glass; the dial is white with Roman numerals and blue steel hands. This watch belonged to my grandfather and means a lot to me, so I’d be really grateful to get it back if someone happened to find it.
Antique pocket watch with blue dragon motif
I lost my antique pocket watch yesterday around 4:15pm. It's a small gold-tone piece with a blue enamel dragon on the back and a glass cover that's scratched. Inside the lid there's a faint engraving 'M.R.' and a tiny serial number 'X-1978' that you can read in good light. I think I had it after leaving The Shambles Market by York Minster and walking toward Walmgate; it was a family heirloom from my grandfather and means a lot to me. If anyone found it, I’d be grateful to hear from you.
