Inside are a stack of work contracts, a small notebook, and a dog-eared family photo tucked under the flap; the red fabric lining makes it stand out in a hurry. It has sentimental value for me because it also contains a note from my late grandfather, and I really need it back for an urgent client meeting tomorrow. I found a black leather Samsonite briefcase this afternoon around 4:15 pm outside the Watertown Courthouse on Main Street, near the Oak Street crosswalk. It’s a medium-sized case with a gold-tone combo lock and a red interior lining that’s a bit worn. Inside, there’s a blue spiral notebook with a sticker that says 'Q3', a USB drive, and a business card for Elena Park tucked in the front slip pocket. There’s a small coffee stain on the bottom corner and a light scratch along the edge. It seems someone was on their way to a meeting; I’d love to get it back to Elena Park or the owner.
