I lost my DVDs last Saturday around 6:45 p.m. after I walked out of the Valdosta Mall near the cinema entrance. I had stopped for a quick bite at a cafe on North Street and carried a tote with a purple case containing my favorite sci‑fi films. The collection includes old sci-fi and a couple of comedies, and they hold a lot of memories from college movie nights. If they turn up, I’d be grateful—those discs feel like a piece of home.

Friday at 11:40 a.m., I was wandering downtown Valdosta along Patterson Street after grabbing a coffee at Morning Market. A stack of postcards—keepsakes from a Georgia coast road trip, scattered with stamps from Savannah to St. Simons—slipped from my tote and vanished into the crowd near the Lowndes County Courthouse. They aren’t valuable, but they carry memories of my grandmother and the letters we used to swap on rainy days. I’ve walked the length of Patterson Street, the Market block, and the square hoping someone picked them up. They’re a small piece of home and I’d be grateful to have them back in Valdosta.
