Found violin in soft black case near Armory Square
Found a violin this afternoon around 3:45pm on the sidewalk outside the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que on West Willow Street in Syracuse. It’s a full-size violin with a warm sunburst varnish, a few cosmetic scratches along the edges, and a slightly worn chin rest. The case is a soft black one with a red felt-lined interior, and there’s a small sticker inside the lid that reads 'Syracuse Conservatory.' The label inside the instrument says 'Stentor Student II,' and I can see the initials 'L.B.' carved on the bridge plate. The bow is tucked in the case and the hair looks a bit worn from recent playing. It clearly belongs to someone who cares about it—if you’re the owner, I’d like to help get it back to you.
Lost silver flute with unique engravings in a navy blue case near the music department building at Syracuse University.
I misplaced my silver flute while walking through the Syracuse University campus yesterday afternoon. I last remember seeing it near the music department building. It has some unique engravings on the body and is in a navy blue case. I’m really hoping to get it back as it has been in my family for generations.
