Dark sunburst violin with red bow
I lost my dark sunburst violin yesterday around 3pm near the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts on S. Kalamazoo Mall, right by Bronson Park. It’s a 4/4 student model with a worn ebony chinrest, and the bow has a bright red ribbon tied around the frog. There’s a small repair patch on the lower bout and a pencil inscription inside the f-hole that reads ‘MP 04/12’—you’d only notice it if you peek. This violin means a lot to me because it was a gift from my grandmother, who passed away last year, and I’ve been playing it every day since then. If someone found it, I’d be incredibly grateful to get it back; it’s basically my lifeline to making music.
Lost grandfather's dark brown wood violin in a black case with initials 'J.S.' in Southwest Michigan park.
I lost my grandfather's violin while visiting a park in Southwest Michigan last weekend. It has a unique dark brown wood finish and was in a black case that has my initials 'J.S.' engraved on it. I'm really hoping to find it as it has sentimental value to me.
