Lost green cockatiel with yellow crest
I lost my green cockatiel yesterday around 3pm near River Bank Plaza on West Main Street in Carbondale, Southern Illinois. It’s a domesticated bird, about 12 inches from beak to tail, with a bright yellow crest, orange cheek patches, and a blue-tinted tail. It also wears a silver leg band on the right leg with the number 246. I’ve had him for four years, he’s my little buddy and I miss him a lot—he usually perches on my shoulder and chirps when I whistle. If anyone spots him, please email me at [email protected].
Found a bright green parakeet in a backyard in Southern Illinois, friendly and without identification tags.
I found a bright green parakeet fluttering around my backyard in Southern Illinois Yesterday afternoon. It seems well-cared for and is very friendly, clearly used to human interaction. I couldn't see any identification tags or bands, but I have put a little food and water out for it. I'm hoping to find its owner, as it must have flown away from home.
