Green parakeet with yellow tail, lost near Capitol Park
I lost my green parakeet yesterday around 3pm near Capitol Park in downtown Sacramento. It's small, about 5 inches, with iridescent emerald feathers and a bright yellow tail, and a silver leg band on the left leg engraved 'SAC-12'. I last saw it perched on a low branch near the fountain by the State Capitol and it flew toward L Street past the coffee kiosk outside Tim's Café on 10th. This bird is really important to me—it was a gift from my grandmother and I’m worried sick about it.

I lost my beloved green parakeet named Kiwi while walking in Curtis Park near Sacramento. She flew out of her cage during our trip to the park and hasn’t returned. She is small, lightweight, and has bright green feathers with a touch of yellow on her wings. If anyone has seen her or found her, please contact me. I'm anxious to get her home safe.
