Lost coins near Sinnissippi Park, Rockford
I was at Sinnissippi Park gazebo around 6:45 PM on Saturday when the coins slipped from my pocket. The little coin collection belonged to my grandfather, a mix of old Lincoln cents and a shiny silver dollar from the 1960s. I remember the sun sinking behind the trees and the smell of kettle corn from a nearby vendor. I retraced my steps along the path by the Sinnissippi River, checked under the bench by the little fountain, and asked a couple passing joggers if they saw something. I’ve felt unsettled since—these coins carry family stories, and I'm hoping they’ve simply wandered into someone’s coat pocket. If you found them, please help me return them.

I lost my black Nike running shoes yesterday around 3pm. This is a Sporting Goods item in Rockford, IL, and I was on the Sinnissippi Park trailhead off East State Street when they slipped off. They're size 9.5, black with a white sole, and a bright lime-green pull tab on the heel. The left toe has a tiny red scuff from a sprint drill, and the Nike swoosh looks a bit creased from training. They’re my go-to pair for workouts and I really need them back; they have sentimental value for me as the shoes I wear every week. The frame has a couple minor scuffs along the bottom edge, and there's a small signature in the bottom right corner that reads 'K. Lenox.'
