I retraced my steps through the building’s lobby by the Market Building and out toward Elm Avenue, but the pants didn’t reappear. I was tidying up near Market Square in Roanoke around 11:30 a.m. today when I found a garment bag containing several suits. They looked well cared-for, the fabric crisp and the label legible, with a few cufflinks still tucked inside. The bag was left on a bench just outside the Market Square entrance, so I brought it to a safe spot and left a note describing where I found them and the approximate time. I found a tan Michael Kors tote today around 3:15pm outside the Roanoke City Market on Market Street. It's a medium-sized bag with pebbled leather, gold-tone hardware, a zipper top, and a pink interior fabric that peeks from the opening. There's a small leather tag with 'MK' embossed on the front, and a faded coffee stain near the bottom corner. Inside, there's a department store receipt and a pair of pink earbuds; the tote is slightly worn on the corners but still sturdy.
