Inside were two antique pocket watches, their covers etched with initials and tiny scratches from years of use. I felt a mix of curiosity and responsibility, imagining the owner pacing the sidewalk elsewhere in Providence, hoping someone would turn these in. I took a moment to document what I found and turned the item into the local Lost and Found, hoping it will reach its rightful owner soon.

I lost my gold-tone hoop earrings with a small freshwater pearl charm yesterday around 3pm near the Dunkin' on Westminster Street by Providence Place Mall in Providence. They’re about 1 inch in diameter, gold-tone brass with a delicate pearl dangling from one hoop. One hoop is slightly bent and the pearl charm has a tiny blue enamel star attached at the base—unique enough to spot if you see them. They were a gift from my grandmother and have a lot of sentimental value; I really need to get them back.
