Lost: Toasters near Main Street Square.

I was loading groceries into the car around 7:15 p.m. on a Saturday and realized my toasters weren’t where they should be. I’d left them on the kitchen counter after breakfast, and I must have bumped the striped tote during the drive from the apartment to Main Street Square in Rapid City, West SD, South Dakota, United States. I retraced my steps along the brick sidewalks, past the fountain, asking passersby if they’d seen a striped tote with two toasters inside. The evening air felt cold and lonely without them. Those toasters are part of our weekend ritual, and I’m really hoping they turn up so I can toast our next morning together.

Lost kittens in Rapid City.

Last night at 7:15 p.m., I was at my apartment on Rapid City Main Street when I realized my kittens had vanished from their carrier. They are small, gray with white paws, and one is shy while the other is bold. I’m worried and missing them terribly, calling out their names at every creak and streetlight, hoping someone in the vicinity of Main Street Square has seen them. I hope this post helps reunite us with them; I’m grateful for any sighting near the fountain or the shops along Main Street.

Lost shoes near Main Street Square, Rapid City.

I was walking along the brick promenade near Main Street Square in Rapid City around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday when I realized my shoes were gone. They are my everyday running shoes—black with a white sole and a small wear mark on the left heel. I retraced every step of the route past the fountain and the coffee carts, but nothing turned up. If anyone found them, please post here so I can get back on my feet.

Lost remote controls near Main Street Square

I'm Noah Peterson, and I lost my remote controls in Rapid City on Main Street Square. It was Sunday around 2:10 PM, and I had paused near the fountain and bench by the statue at 6th Street when they slipped from my bag and disappeared. I was left with two remotes: one black with a red power button, the other gray with a blue logo. I checked the benches, the kiosk, and the path around the square, but the crowd moved on and they didn't turn up. If someone picked them up, I would be grateful to have them back.

Lost: Work Cases in Rapid City

Saturday at 11:15 a.m., I was loading gear for a site visit in Rapid City, by Main Street near the Dahl Arts Center, when two work cases slipped from the back of my SUV. I looked away for a moment to tie my boot and by the time I turned back, they were gone. One is a black leather briefcase; the other is a rugged black plastic case with a few stickers. They hold important documents, blueprints, and a USB drive with client codes—things I need to keep projects on track. I retraced the block along 5th Street toward the City Center, checked the nearby coffee shop, and even circled Memorial Park, but no sign. If you’ve seen them, I’d appreciate returning them to the site.

DeWalt 20V drill with batteries

I lost my DeWalt 20V XR cordless drill — yellow and black — model DCD791. It's in a black hard-shell carrying case with a yellow lid, and I keep two 5.0Ah batteries in the case. The drill is in good working condition, a few cosmetic scratches on the chuck and along the grip from daily use. I think I last had it yesterday around 3pm near the Mt. Rushmore Road and 5th Street intersection in Rapid City. This drill is my main go-to for home repairs; it's not just a tool, it's part of my family's tinkering history since my grandfather handed it to me years ago, so I’d really appreciate getting it back.
