Found saxophones near Main Street Square, Rapid City
I was strolling near Main Street Square in Rapid City around 6:45 p.m. last Friday when I spotted a set of saxophones leaning against a bench by the fountain. The black case looked worn from travel, stickers peeling, and one bell had a small dent from a rough bump. There wasn't an owner in sight, just the hum of traffic and the glow of the streetlamps. I turned them in at the Rapid City Police Department's Lost and Found to make sure they could get home to the right person.

I lost my small black metronome yesterday around 3pm near the Dahl Arts Center on Fifth Street in downtown Rapid City. It's a compact digital metronome, about the size of a deck of cards, with a matte black plastic case and a white pendulum that ticks steadily. There’s a blue sticker on the back that reads 'Jazz Night' in white letters, plus a tiny dent on the bottom edge from a minor drop. It’s really sentimental to me—my late mentor gave it to me for practice, and I truly need it back for an important rehearsal this weekend.

I lost my black Yamaha violin yesterday around 3pm after a quick busking session near the Dahl Arts Center on Main Street in downtown Rapid City. It's a full-size instrument with a glossy ebony fingerboard, a natural wood chin rest, and a few light scratches along the lower bout; the fine tuner on the E string is shiny, and the tailpiece has a tiny dent. Inside the f-hole there’s a white sticker with my initials 'E.R.' and a faint stamp from RC Music School. This violin was a gift from my grandmother and has tons of sentimental value, which is why I’m really hoping someone who found it will reach out so I can get it back.

I lost my red Ludwig snare drum yesterday around 3pm. It was sitting on a stand outside the Music Exchange on West Main Street in Rapid City, near Main Street Square. It’s a 14x6.5 inch maple snare with a bright cherry-red finish, shiny chrome hardware, and a small dent on the rim from a bump last month. There’s a blue star sticker by the throw-off and my initials 'PP' on the bottom hoop. It means a lot to me; playing it helps me unwind after gigs, and it has sentimental value.
