I last wore them yesterday around 5:45 pm after a quick run and I think I may have left them outside the Varsity on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. They’re a bit worn, with a tiny snag at the inner ankle and a faint chlorine stain on the back of the waistband—the kind of marker that makes them uniquely mine. This pair has real sentimental value; I wore them through months of training and they were a gift from my sister after she finished her first marathon.
