Red binder with vintage stamp collection
I lost my red vinyl binder with a vintage stamp collection yesterday around 3pm near Courthouse Square on Montezuma Street in Prescott. It’s a 6x9 inch red binder with a tiny gold crest on the spine and a little crease on the top corner from a few years of use. Inside are mint-condition stamps from the 1950s on green stamp-pages, plus a couple of air-mail stamps with odd perforations. On the first page there’s a faint pencil note in the corner that reads 'HB'. This collection means a lot to me because it started with my grandfather, and I’m really hoping it turns up.
Elgin gold-tone pocket watch found near Courthouse Square
I found this gold-tone Elgin pocket watch, a nice collector's item, this afternoon around 4pm on Gurley Street, near Prescott Courthouse Square and Whiskey Row. It's about 2 inches across, with a slightly worn case and a back engraved with 'J.L.' and a small fleur-de-lis. The dial is creamy white with Roman numerals, and the crown has a tiny blue cabochon that catches the light. A thin brown leather fob chain is attached, and the mechanism ticks when wound, though there are a few light scratches from years of wear. If this sounds like yours, tell me the engraving details or describe the chain, and I’ll get it back to you.
