Lost Breeds near Capitol, Pierre.
At about 8:15 a.m. this morning, I was walking along Sioux Avenue toward the South Dakota Capitol when I realized my binder labeled Breeds was missing from my bag. It’s a black binder with a red spine, full of notes on dog breeds and training tips. I last saw it near the Capitol steps by Riverfront Park, and the thought of someone else flipping through my notes makes me anxious. Those pages support a small rescue project I’m running, and I’d be grateful to have them back. I’m hoping someone finds this post and can help reunite me with it through the site.
Gray cockatiel with yellow crest
Hey, I lost my gray cockatiel yesterday around 5pm. He has a bright yellow crest, orange cheeks, and a gray body with a white-tipped tail. There's a small red leg band with the code A12 and a tiny white patch on his left wing when spread. He’s a friendly little guy who loves sunflower seeds and mimicry; he often responds to his name and will step onto a finger if you coax him. I last saw him along the Missouri Riverfront walking trail behind the South Dakota State Capitol on Capitol Avenue, near the Pierre Historical Museum and the pedestrian bridge by East Dakota Avenue. If you find him, he’ll probably chirp at you and come closer for a snack. This bird means a lot to me—it was a gift from my sister and I’m really hoping to get him back!
Found a sweet black and white cat near Pierre Library with a distinctive white patch on her left paw.
I found a sweet black and white cat hanging around the Pierre Library yesterday. She seemed to be lost and quite hungry, but she approaches people nicely. No collar, but she has a distinctive patch of white on her left paw. If anyone recognizes her or knows her owner, please reach out to me. I'm located in the Central SD area.
Lost bright green pet tree frog with small orange mark near the riverbank and tall grass in Pierre, SD.
I lost my beloved pet green tree frog while I was out taking a walk along the riverbank in Pierre, SD. He escaped from his habitat window while I was cleaning it, and I think he might have hopped off into some tall grass around the area. If anyone happens to find him, he's bright green with a small orange mark on his side and has a very friendly nature. I'm really worried about him!
