Lost sheet music near Yaquina Bay Lighthouse
I was finishing up a quick practice on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. near the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse in Newport when I realized my sheet music was gone. It’s a small three-page set for my recital, with a coffee ring along the bottom and a pink highlighter on page two. The ocean wind whipped the pages and I must have left it on the bench overlooking the water. I’m anxious about tomorrow’s performance and just hoping someone picked it up and kept it safe. If found, please note it on the site so I can reclaim it.
Sunburst Kala ukulele near Newport Bayfront
Found a sunburst Kala soprano ukulele this afternoon around 3:15pm near the Newport Bayfront on the Oregon Coast, just outside Mo's on the waterfront. It's a compact, lightweight instrument with nylon strings and a glossy finish, and there's a small sea turtle sticker on the headstock. There's a blue fabric strap attached and a tiny dent on the back near the lower bout where it seems it bumped the railing. The wood smells like pine and salt, and it feels like someone cherished it; I’d really like to see it back with its owner.
