Lost flutes near South Coast Plaza, OC
I had just wrapped a quick rehearsal at a studio in Costa Mesa, and at 6:22 PM on Saturday I stepped out toward the plaza and sat on a bench by the South Coast Plaza entrance. I set my two flutes on the bench while I tuned one last thing, then a crowd swelled and I got distracted. By the time I looked again, they were gone. The flutes are silver, one with a dent on the lip plate and a worn black leather case; they’re how I make a living and carry a lot of personal history. I’m hoping someone found them and kept them safe.
Black Yamaha snare drum, 14x5.5
I lost my black Yamaha Recording Custom snare drum, 14x5.5 inches, yesterday around 3pm near the Irvine Spectrum Center entrance on Irvine Center Drive. It's a Yamaha Recording Custom with chrome hardware, two small dents on the shell near the bottom lug, and a tiny star sticker on the inner shell that peeks out when the head is off. The drum was a gift from my high school band teacher and has sentimental value; I've used it in every rehearsal since freshman year. I'm really hoping someone picked it up and kept it safe—if you found it, please message me here so we can arrange a safe return before this week's show.
Sunburst Kala ukulele in black gig bag
I lost my sunburst Kala KA-15S concert ukulele yesterday around 3pm near the fountain outside The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the Mission Viejo Town Center in Orange County. It’s in a black padded gig bag with a red zipper pull. The ukulele is in good condition overall, with a few light scratches on the back and a dent on the bottom edge near the strap button. The headstock has a green cartoon-cat sticker that my niece helped me put there—it's a unique feature that helps identify it. This ukulele means a lot to me; it's a gift from my mom who passed away last year. If anyone found it, please reach out—I'd be really grateful to get it back.
Silver Yamaha snare drum with black hardware
I lost my Yamaha Stage Custom snare drum, a 14x5.5 inch silver brushed steel shell with black hardware and a small dent on the rim. I had left it outside the Barnes & Noble at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa yesterday around 3pm, near the bench by the food court. It came with blue Vic Firth 5A sticks and a black carrying pouch; there's a tiny star sticker on the inside of the shell and a No. 17 sticker near the bottom edge. This drum means a lot to me—it was the first drum I ever bought and a gift from my late uncle; I’d really appreciate it being returned.
Red violin in black case
I lost my red Yamaha violin in a black hard case yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Main Street in Santa Ana, Orange County. It's a 4/4 student model with a bright cherry red finish, a small dent near the tailpiece, and a blue ribbon tied to the bow. The case has an orange 'OC Music' sticker on the handle. This violin is sentimental, a gift from my grandmother, and I really need it back.
