Well-worn Lonely Planet travel guide found
I found a well-worn Lonely Planet Western US travel guide this afternoon around 2:15pm, here in Northwest Kansas, tucked under a bench in the parking lot behind the Hays Public Library on 9th Street. It's a paperback with an orange cover, about 1.5 inches thick, and the spine is creased from heavy use. There's a blue bookmark with the initials 'S.J.' peeking out, and a small map folded in the back cover that shows the California coast. It looks like it's been in someone’s bag for a while, with a coffee stain on the top edge. If you’re the owner, I’d be happy to return it in person at the library—hope to reunite it with its owner soon!
Blue field guide to Prairie Wildflowers
I'm Priya Patel. I lost my blue field guide 'Prairie Wildflowers of the Midwest' yesterday around 3pm. It's a softcover, about 6x9 inches, 320 pages with glossy photos, and the cover has a coffee stain in the lower right corner with a pressed fern bookmark tucked between pages 112-113. It was my grandmother's gift and it feels sentimental to me; I really need it back. Last seen outside the Hays Public Library on 8th Street in downtown Northwest Kansas. If you found it, please drop it off or text me—I'd be incredibly grateful and happy to repay you.
Found a rare first edition 1990s comic book with a bright superhero cover and unusual inside markings at the local community center.
I found a rare first edition comic book from the 1990s at the local community center in Northwest KS. It seems to be in great condition, but I have no idea who it belongs to. It has a bright cover with a superhero and some unusual markings on the inside pages. I really want to return it to its owner, so if you recognize it, please reach out!
