Blue-and-yellow parakeet found near New Haven Green
I found a blue-and-yellow parakeet this afternoon around 2:45pm near the New Haven Green, by the corner of College Street and Elm Street. It's the size of a typical budgie, with a vivid yellow head and cobalt-blue body, and a distinctive white crescent patch on its left wing. A blue leg band with a tiny serial number is visible on its right leg. This little guy clearly belongs to someone, and I’d love to get him back to his owner. If this is yours, message through the app and we can set up a quick meet-up near the Green.
Green budgie with yellow head, lost near Yale
Hey, I’m posting because my green budgie with a bright yellow head flew away yesterday around 3:15pm. I last saw him on the Yale campus, near the Beinecke Library, and he slipped toward Whitney Avenue by the New Haven Green. He’s a small bird, about 6 inches tall, green with a yellow head, and he wears a blue plastic leg band with the number '12' and a white neck ring. He’s really attached to our family and his chirping lights up the apartment; he was a gift and has sentimental value. If anyone spots him, please text me and I’ll meet you there or wherever is convenient.
