Found vintage coin and stamp collection
I found a vintage coin and stamp collection this afternoon around 3:15 pm in the parking lot behind the Kingman Public Library on Beale Street, Mohave County. The haul sits in a small, dusty display case with a green felt interior and a brass latch. Inside there's about 60 coins from the 1940s through the 1960s, plus a red leather-bound stamp album with well-thumbed pages and a few air-mail stamps still attached. One noticeable feature: a brass tag on the display case engraved with 'D.R.' and a loose sticky note tucked in the stamp album's front pocket reading 'Property of D.R. 1972'. The items look gently weathered but well cared for, and I really hope to see them go back to their owner.
Vintage Route 66 coin display case
I lost my vintage Route 66 coin collection in a small black display case yesterday around 3pm. It’s a leather-bound binder-style album with clear sleeves and a brass corner tag that reads 'Route 66 Keepsakes'. Inside are US commemorative coins from the 1950s and a few old Mexican pesos, with a red ribbon bookmark sticking out of one sleeve. The case has a small dent on the bottom-right corner and a faint scratch along the top edge. I had left it in the Route 66 Plaza parking lot behind the Visitors Center in Kingman, Mohave County, and it means a lot to me because my grandfather started the collection, so I’m really hoping to get it back.
