I lost my gray tabby cat with a white chest yesterday around 3pm near the Merced Public Library on 21st Street. He wears a light blue collar with a tiny silver bell, and he has one green eye and one blue eye—very distinctive. He's about 12 pounds, fairly shy around strangers, and he's been part of our family for almost 9 years; my kids are worried sick and keep asking when he'll come home. I found a guinea pig this afternoon around 2:15 pm wandering near the Starbucks on Main Street, by the Merced Mall parking lot. It's a small, cream-colored guinea pig with a faint white blaze on its chest and a bright blue ribbon tied around its neck. It seems healthy, curious, and a little scared, with fluffy fur and tiny pink paws. I scooped it up to keep it safe and warm while I try to find its owner. Leopard gecko found behind Merced Mall on G St
I found a leopard gecko this afternoon around 2:15 pm in the parking lot behind the Merced Mall on G Street. It’s about 4 inches long from head to tail, tan with brown spots and a pale yellow belly. It has a small white scar on the left side of its neck and a slightly kinked tail tip—nice little details to help ID it. It seemed healthy and curious, so I kept it on a towel in a ventilated container with a tiny dish of water. I found a medium-sized black dog around the park on 5th Street in Merced this afternoon. He seems friendly and appears to be well taken care of, but I couldn't find any tags with owner information.
