Today at around 2:15 p.m., I was near the Mattoon downtown area when I realized my binder of trading cards was missing from my backpack. It is a red binder with a dragon sticker on the front, filled with 1990s baseball cards and a few rare inserts. I last saw it on a bench by the Mattoon Public Library on Broadway, just outside the library steps. I have retraced my route and spoken to a few shopkeepers, but no luck so far. lost appliances near Mattoon downtown

I lost a couple of appliances Friday around 8:15 PM while moving into my new place on East Main Street in Mattoon, near the downtown square by the Coles County Courthouse. A white toaster oven and a compact blender were in a small plastic bin when a gust of wind knocked it onto the curb and sent the cords sprawling. They aren’t flashy, but they’re mine and I need them back as I settle into this new chapter. If you’ve seen them around the Mattoon-Charleston area, I’d really appreciate getting them back.

Lost Action Figures in Mattoon-Charleston area

I realized my action figures were missing after leaving the Mattoon Comic & Collectibles shop on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. I was walking back to my car near downtown Mattoon, by the old train depot, when I noticed several figures were gone. The set includes a glow-in-the-dark Spider-Man and a vintage robot from the 1990s—small characters, big memories for my son and me. I hope they’re just misplaced and someone who found them will see this post.

Lost wrist watch in Mattoon-Charleston

I LOST my wrist watch during the Mattoon-Charleston Civic Parade around 7:40 p.m. last Friday when it disappeared from my wrist. It’s a silver case with a blue face and a black leather band, with a small dent on the side that makes it easy to spot. I retraced my steps along Main Street, past the Mattoon Square and the old courthouse, hoping someone picked it up. Lost: Hamsters in Mattoon-Charleston.

Lost: My two hamsters, Milo and Pebble, in Mattoon-Charleston, Illinois. I last saw them around 6:45 p.m. yesterday, when I opened the living room door near the downtown Charleston square by the Coles County Courthouse and they scampered behind the sofa. They are tiny—Milo is brown with a white belly; Pebble is gray with a small black dot on her ear—and they squeak when I rattle their treat jar. They mean the world to me; they've kept me company through tough days, and I am terrified they could be hiding somewhere hard to reach. If you've seen them or heard a squeak behind a couch, please help me bring them home.
