Lost hat after a walk at Buddy Holly Center

Yesterday at 5:42 p.m., I was leaving the Buddy Holly Center after a quick photo stroll along 19th Street in downtown Lubbock when I realized my gray knit hat with a tiny Texas-shaped patch was missing. I retraced my steps past the fountain near the library steps and along the grassy slope by Mackenzie Park, but it never turned up. That hat has been with me through long shifts and chilly game nights, and it somehow feels like a small piece of home when the wind gusts off the plains. If you happened to pick it up, please keep it safe; it means more to me than any souvenir.
