Cockatiel with bright yellow crest and orange cheeks
I lost my cockatiel, a grey bird with a bright yellow crest and orange cheeks, yesterday around 3:15pm. It was perched on my shoulder outside the Kroger on Limestone Street in Lexington, near the UK Medical Center, and it slipped from my grip when a door slammed. It’s mostly grey, with that sunny yellow crest and orange cheek patches that really stand out. There’s a tiny chipped feather on the left wing I can use to identify it. This bird is a gift from my grandmother and has a lot of sentimental value; I’m really hoping someone who finds it will reach out so I can bring it home.
Found dog: tri-color beagle mix with blue collar
This afternoon around 4:15pm I found a dog outside the Kroger on Nicholasville Road, near Hamburg Pavilion in Lexington. It’s a tri-color beagle mix, about 25 pounds, with a white chest and a slight limp in the right hind leg. The dog is wearing a blue nylon collar with a small round metal tag engraved 'Leia.' She seemed friendly but a bit overwhelmed, so I kept her safe and brought her to a nearby bench while I posted this. I know how stressful it is to lose a dog, and I’d love to help get Leia back to her family—please reach out if you can verify the tag or describe the limp and the collar.
Tan beagle mix dog with red collar, Lexington
I lost my tan beagle mix yesterday around 3:15pm near the Hamburg Pavilion on Nicholasville Road in Lexington. He’s about 40 pounds, with a bright red collar and a small white diamond-shaped patch on his chest. He can be shy around strangers and might bolt if startled, so he’ll likely avoid crowds. There’s a tiny scrape on his right hind leg from a recent hop over a curb. I’m really worried—this dog means a lot to me. If you’ve seen him, please email [email protected] and we’ll arrange a safe meetup.
Found orange tabby cat near UK campus
Found this orange tabby cat this afternoon around 4:15 pm in the parking lot behind the Starbucks on South Limestone Street, Lexington, near the UK campus. It’s an orange tabby with a white chest and white paws, and it’s wearing a blue collar with a tiny silver bell. It looked healthy but a bit nervous, and it has a tiny notch in the left ear plus a faint diagonal stripe on its tail—easy to identify if you know this cat. I’m pretty sure it belongs to someone around here, and I’d love to help get it back home; if you think it’s yours, drop a note here and we can set up a meetup to reunite them.
Fluffy gray hamster with blue harness
Found this fluffy gray hamster this afternoon around 4:15pm in the Fayette Mall parking lot off Nicholasville Road, near the food court entrance. It’s tiny—about the size of a ping-pong ball—with soft gray fur, a white belly, and a sky-blue harness with a tiny silver bell that jingles when it moves. The little guy seems healthy and curious, just a bit rattled by the cars passing by. If this is your hamster, I’d love to help get it back—meetups can happen near the Fayette Mall entrance or by the bus stop on Nicholasville Road to make it easy.
Blue and white cockatiel with orange cheeks
I lost my blue and white cockatiel with orange cheeks yesterday around 5pm near the Lexington Green shopping center on Nicholasville Road. He's a small bird—about the size of a robin—with a bright orange patch on each cheek and a pale white face. He wears a tiny silver leg band engraved 'AK-4' and has a faint crescent-shaped white patch on his left wing that’s easy to spot up close. I last had him in a light-blue PetsCo cage with a yellow perch; I think he fluttered away near the Barnes & Noble and the bus stop by Lexington Green. This bird means a lot to me—it's a gift from my aunt, and I’m really hoping to get him back safe and sound.
Green parakeet with yellow head found near The Summit
I found a little green parakeet with a bright yellow head perched on the bookstore sign outside The Summit on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington this afternoon around 1:40pm. It has a slim blue tail, and a small silver leg band with 'KY' engraved on it. It seemed healthy, chirping softly and hopping along my hand, and it showed no fear after I coaxed it from a bush. I’m posting here because I know someone out there must be missing their pet—this bird looks tame and belongs with its family. If you think it’s yours, tell me the name on the leg band or what color the bird’s favorite treat is; I’ll bring it to you.
Leopard gecko in glass terrarium
I lost my leopard gecko yesterday around 3pm. It's a small gecko, about 6-7 inches from nose to tail, with a lime-green body and black speckles, plus a bright orange tail that really stands out. It was in a 20-gallon glass terrarium with a blue heat lamp. I last saw him in my apartment on West Main Street in Lexington, near the Lexington Opera House, when I lifted the lid to change food and then he vanished under the couch. This little guy is a big deal to me—I've had him since he was a hatchling, a gift from my sister two years ago, and I really need him back. If anyone finds him, message me here or email [email protected].
Lost little beagle mix named Oliver with brown and white coat and pink collar near Lexingford Park.
I lost my little beagle mix, Oliver, around 4 PM near Lexingford Park. He has a brown and white coat, a pink collar, and is very friendly. He loves to chase squirrels and follow his nose, so he might have wandered off. If you see him, please let me know.
