I found a backpack this afternoon around 4:15pm behind the Lafayette Station bus stop on Jefferson Street, just past the downtown farmers market. It’s a blue North Face backpack, medium-sized (about 18 inches tall) with a black base and bright orange zipper pulls on the front pocket. The bag is a bit worn at the bottom corners but clean inside, no strong odor. Inside I spotted a spiral notebook, a student ID with the name Alex Rivera, and a small pineapple-shaped keychain attached to the zipper. There’s a USB-C cable sticking out of the side pocket. I found a black, hard-shell suitcase with wheels near the Lafayette train station on the evening of October 15th. It appears to be in great condition and has some travel tags attached to the handle. I believe it might belong to someone who recently traveled, as it seems to have personal items inside—possibly clothing or toiletries. I'm hoping to reunite it with its owner.
