I lost the last of the holiday decorations around 7:15 PM last Friday, heading toward Riverside Park near the carousel when a gust whipped the box from my grip. It’s a red cardboard box with gold lettering, and inside are heirloom ornaments from family trips to La Crosse. I retraced the brick path by the parking area and checked the hedges near the restrooms, but the box wasn’t there. Those decorations are tied to memories of winters at home, and losing them feels like losing a piece of my family. If anyone found it, I’d be grateful to hear.
