Lost hoops outside Truman State, Kirksville

I lost my hoops last Friday around 5:30 p.m., right outside Truman State University’s Student Union Building, by the circular fountain on Normal Avenue in Kirksville, Missouri. They’re a simple pair of silver hoops, one with a tiny star charm. I had them on during a campus interview and walked the quad from the library toward the parking deck, turning my steps into memory. Losing them while chasing a busy evening on campus has me feeling both silly and anxious, like a small piece of college days is drifting away.
