I realized my sandals were missing on Tuesday around 6:15 PM after a quick study session at the Truman State University Library. I was on the brick sidewalks near the campus quad when I noticed they weren’t on my feet. The pair are simple brown leather thong sandals—well-worn and loved, a gift from my grandmother that always reminds me of summer. I retraced my steps toward the Rotary Park and around the library entrance, but the sandals didn’t show up.
