I was grabbing a late coffee after a Chiefs watch party and a walk through Union Station in Kansas City, MO around 7:15 p.m. yesterday when my small silver stud earrings must have slipped from my jacket pocket. They're a simple, everyday pair, but they carry a lot of sentimental value—the kind my grandmother gave me years ago. I retraced my steps through the Union Station concourse, scanning the floor and the benches, but the earrings vanished into the crowd. I’m hopeful someone picked them up and set them aside; losing them feels like losing a memory.
