Vintage stamp & coin collection in red tin
I found a vintage stamp and coin collection this afternoon around 3:45pm beside Bronson Park, downtown Kalamazoo, near the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. It's kept in a small red metal tin with a clear lid; inside there's a mix of stamps from the 1940s and coins, including a shiny 1947 Wheat Cent and a handful of foreign denominations. There's a faded label on the tin that reads 'G.H. Collection' and a tiny maple leaf doodle drawn in pencil on the lid. It feels like a personal keepsake, something someone clearly put time into, and I’d be happy to help get it back to its owner if this looks familiar.
Blue-glazed ceramic wall vase found near Bronson Park
I found a blue-glazed ceramic wall vase this afternoon around 2:15pm, outside the Kalamazoo Public Library on West Michigan Avenue, near Bronson Park. It's about 8 inches tall and has a crackled glaze with a tiny chip on the rim, plus a hand-stamped mark on the back that reads 'L. Rivera 2019' (looks like a local artisan). The vase is in pretty good shape overall, just a bit dusty from being outdoors. If it's yours, let's figure out a quick pickup or drop-off in downtown Kalamazoo — I can meet at a cafe nearby or leave it with a staff member at the library. I know it’s probably sentimental to someone, so I’m hoping the owner sees this and we can get it back to its rightful home.
Lost rare vintage Willie Mays baseball card around downtown Kalamazoo.
I lost a rare vintage baseball card, most likely somewhere around downtown Kalamazoo. It features Willie Mays and has some wear and tear, but it's really important to me. I was running errands in the area and realized it was missing when I got home. If anyone sees it, please reach out!
