LOST: Paintings in the High Rockies

On Saturday around 3:25 pm, I was taking a break at the Turquoise Lake overlook in the High Rockies and left two small paintings resting on a rock while I adjusted my pack. When I looked back, they were gone. The works are framed in simple dark wood: one shows a jagged snow peak above a pine-fringed valley; the other glows with a sunset over a meadow. They’re irreplaceable to me—a gift from my grandfather—and I’m sick with worry each mile I hike without them. I’ve retraced the path and asked a few hikers, but no luck yet. If you’ve seen them, please let the site know so we can bring them home.

Blue LEGO Friends set with red train engine

I lost my blue LEGO Friends set yesterday around 3pm near the playground behind the High Rockies Community Center on Main Street. It's a small blue brick train set, about 6 inches tall when built, with a bright red engine and a white sticker on the front. The bricks are a bit scuffed from lots of pretend play, and I think a couple of blue bricks and a tiny yellow flag piece are missing. This set was a gift from my sister and really means a lot to my kid; they're anxious about it and I just want to see it back in their hands.

Vintage coin collection tin with glass lid

Found a brass-toned coin collection tin with a clear glass lid this afternoon around 3:15pm, tucked behind the Mountain Market on Pine Street in the High Rockies. The tin is a bit scuffed, with a tiny crescent moon etched into the rim and a heart-shaped scratch along the lid. Inside sits about 40 coins, including a 1923 Buffalo nickel and a couple of foreign coins. The bottom is stamped HB-77. I get the feeling someone spent real care on this collection and would be glad to see it back; it clearly mattered to the owner.

Lost black and green Leki hiking poles near a scenic overlook in the trails around High Rockies.

I lost my black and green Leki hiking poles while trekking through the trails around High Rockies last weekend. I remember stopping to take pictures near a scenic overlook, and I think I left them behind there. These poles mean a lot to me, and I'd really love to have them back.
