Lost CDs from blue jewel case after night out.
I lost my CDs after leaving Main Street Coffee in downtown Hickory around 9:15 PM on Friday. I had tucked a blue jewel-case binder into my tote as I walked back toward the lampposts along Main Street. The collection is a mix of indie and old folk records I can't replace, and it holds a few live recordings from recent local shows. Those discs mean a lot to me; they accompanied countless study nights and long drives through Hickory. I’m hoping someone who found them did the right thing and turned them in somewhere safe.

I found a well-worn Penguin Classics orange paperback this afternoon around 4:15pm, tucked behind the downtown Hickory Farmers Market on 1st Ave NW. It's about 1/2 inch thick, with a creased spine and a blue feather-shaped bookmark sticking out from page 72. There's a small coffee stain along the right edge, and inside the front cover someone wrote 'For Lily – 2019' in faded blue ink. Blue hardcover mystery novel with red bookmark
I lost my blue hardcover mystery novel yesterday around 3pm near the Hickory Public Library on 2nd Ave NW, right by the little coffee stand outside. It's a navy-blue cloth spine with a gold-embossed title and a bright red ribbon bookmark sticking out of the pages. There's a small coffee stain on the inside cover and a slight crease on the top corner from being carried in my tote. It was a gift from my mom and holds a lot of sentimental value for me - I really need it back. If you spot it, please drop me a message, I can meet up nearby and grab it.

I lost my blue 6x9 paperback magazine, 'Hickory History Quarterly,' yesterday around 3pm near the Hickory Public Library on Main Avenue. It's the latest summer issue, with a green coffee ring on the back cover and a small pine-leaf sticker on the inside front cover. It feels important to me—it's part of a local history project I started with my grandfather, and I really need it back. I found a small, 20-page zine with a bright teal cover and hand-drawn black ink illustrations this afternoon around 3:10pm outside the Hickory Public Library on Main Ave near the bus stop. It's about 5x7 inches, stapled, with a light coffee stain on the first page and a few creased corners from rain. Inside the front cover there’s a handwritten note: 'For Sam — keep sketching,' plus a tiny pine-tree sticker on the back. The paper feels thin and smells a little like coffee and printer ink. If you know Sam or this zine, it clearly belongs to someone who values their tiny art projects, and I’d be glad to reunite it with them.
