Found: Coins near Waterside District
While strolling along the Norfolk/Virginia Beach boardwalk outside Waterside District around 7:15 PM last Friday, I found a handful of coins scattered on the pavement. They were pennies and nickels, with a couple older quarters worn smooth by travel. I left them on a nearby ledge where someone passing by could spot them, hoping the owner would notice and claim them. It felt like a small, simple reminder of Hampton Roads' everyday moments.
Lost equipment for various sports near Virginia Beach.
I lost my equipment for various sports somewhere along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Tuesday at 6:15 PM, I left a navy duffel on a bench near the start of the boardwalk while I stepped away to stretch and take a quick photo. The bag is packed with gear for multiple sports: basketball shoes, shin guards, cleats, a rolled-up yoga mat, and a folded tennis racket. I retraced my steps from the boardwalk to 24th Street, then along the sand toward the fishing pier, but I didn’t see it. It isn’t just gear to me; it’s what I use to decompress after work and stay active. I’m hoping someone handed it in at the Oceanfront so it can be returned.
