5:20 pm this past Friday, I was walking the Missouri Riverwalk near Riverside Park when I spotted a metal tool roll tucked behind a bench by the park entrance. I pulled it out and found a hammer, a handful of chisels, a tape measure, and a few wrenches—well-used and a bit dusty, but clearly someone relied on these tools. A small sticker on the roll read J. Reed, faded but legible. It looked like the owner may have set it down in a rush after a quick fix somewhere along the river trail.
