Lost paintings outside Fort Wayne Museum of Art

This afternoon around 3:45 p.m., I stepped outside the Fort Wayne Museum of Art on Calhoun Street to jot notes for a show, and I left two paintings on a bench by the entrance. By the time I walked back, they were gone. The works are different in style: one is a moody oil landscape in blues and grays, the other a bright watercolor of the Fort Wayne skyline at sunset. They’re my own creations, and losing them feels like a small part of me being misplaced.
